Spade is a women’s safety and community app, made to help women across Australia connect with one another, share their experiences, and look out for the people around them.

The problem

Safety knowledge has lived in the shadows.

For too long, women haven’t had an easy, safe way to share and heed warnings about people they meet on dating platforms. That knowledge has lived in scattered private group chats — hard to find, easy to lose, and out of reach for the women who need it most.

What Spade is

Spade brings that knowledge into one place women can trust: a community to connect, to share experiences, and to support one another. It’s where local friendships, interest groups, and honest, informed choices come together — so no woman has to navigate it alone.

Awareness only works when it’s handled with care. These are the commitments we build Spade around:

  • Human moderation

    Reports are user-generated and unverified, so every one is reviewed by a real person before it’s shown to the community.

  • Blurred evidence

    Evidence photos are blurred by default, protecting privacy while still helping women make informed choices.

  • Privacy-first

    We collect only what we need and design every feature to minimise harm — never to expose, shame, or endanger anyone.
